California State Fair

Article by ExploreSAC on Wednesday, 16 of July , 2008 at 9:07 pm

The California State Fair is an annual event held at Cal Expo in late August and is like no other local county fair. Nearly one million people are in attendance every year and enjoy midway, carnival rides, exhibits, county displays, monorail and unique fried foods (i.e. Twinkies). Some other favorite areas include livestock, forrestry, and crafts in the Pavilions. Recent years have had events like motocross jumping sponsored by Toyota. Parking is several dollars on top of general admission, but many people choose to park at Arden Fair, or other nearby parking lots.
