Effie Yeaw Nature Center

The Effie Yeaw Nature Center, in Ancil Hoffman Park, is an award-winning environmental and cultural education center within the American River Parkway. The center offers a wide variety of hands-on educational activities and exhibits for all ages. Often the locale of many elementary school class trips, children can enjoy seeing some live animals and a replica of a Maidu Indian summer village. Ancil Hoffman Park is located off of California Ave. near Fair Oaks Blvd. and Marconni in Carmichael.
