I received an email the other day from a new member who was wondering why I hadn’t added a specific museum to the site. The answer was simply because the site is new and I hadn’t gotten to it yet. While I would love to add everything there is to do in Sacramento in a day, it’s just not possible. I try to provide at least one new activity or place to explore every day. Sometimes I can add more. Sometimes I may get tied up, or need a day off. In any event, I do have a couple lists I refer to when choosing the next topic to post, but I will always welcome suggestions. So, if you have any, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Also, be sure to register, so you can post comments, which will allow you to provide feedback on articles posted. You can also use comments to suggest similar activities that may not have been posted yet.

RSS Explained
RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is a web feed format frequently used to publish content from blogs or news sources. An RSS feed can contain a summary, or full article, from the source site and is an easy way for people to keep up-to-date with frequent changes. Many sites use others’ RSS feeds to provide more content to their visitors. In most cases the feeds will provide a link back to the source for the full article. Essentially, it is a way to pull the information to you, rather than have to go out and visit numerous sites to get news and updates.
Why use RSS Feeds?
As the Internet, and blogging community, has grown, so have our collections of bookmarks and resources we visit. Rather than going to each site, independently, RSS feeds can be used to collect the information and display it on another site or in a reader, such as Bloglines, My Yahoo, or Google’s Reader. There are many other choices, but rather than inundate you with those, the three provided here are some of the most popular.
Email Feeds
If that seems a little too complicated, you can also receive our RSS Feed via email. Simply type in your email address in the form on the right sidebar, and FeedBurner will send you site updates. Your email will be kept private and you can unsubscribe at any time.
